The Priyanka Story. # Methechange

This is Priyanka.Her Story is different . According to her She Grew up in Rajasthan and goes to school there.On Asking her age she said she didn't know.We spotted her while I was filming for my Vlog,she was interested in what I was doing that paved way for our short conversation.The Real reason why she was interested in talking to us is because she found me wearing a silver neckpiece similar to the ones she and her grandmother were selling.Asked on what she was doing here in Kochi,She told me it was her Vacation from School.So I asked which Class she was in she didn't know.But all she was repeatedly saying was she studied in a school in Rajasthan and it was vacation.So it struck me,this was what she was taught to tell everybody.We asked what she wanted to become in future,She didn't know the Answer...... because I knew she never had a chance to explore the options,never had been given a chance to dream.Even if she wanted to go to school her situation didn't allow her toAt this Age when she is to run around play,Discover and Create.Here she is With an Emaciated body ,tired and dying to earn atleast a meal for her family.But no one could ever dampen Her Spirit ,No one could stop her zeal with which she sold her goods.We asked her what she had for lunch she said nothing.Since it was a very sunny day we offered her ice cream,but she resisted and on asked us to get her some Tender Coconut.I was surprised .You guys want to know the reason why she asked for that.Because she had her old grandmother with her.Had she accepted the offer for ice cream she couldn't share to her grandmother.This small act of that girl totally struck me.Little did I know this small meeting with this little girl could turn out to be this thought provoking.There a lot of Priyanka's in our Society whose Stories unheard,untold,buried under the soil.Most of us tend show a blind eye to them ,not because we want to but because we never have time to.I am not here to say that we should make a revolution or something.I just want to say ,Your small act of kindness or just sparing 10 mins of your time makes a big difference to their lives.#Methe Change#H2O
