Greetings from the Land of Love, fishing nets and the best sunset spots. Each time I come here I am mesmerised at the hand work of our creator. "Oh How Great are you Lord,!! " and how much more is your creation .Most of you would have already been taken up by the visuals from the Legendary movie "KUMBALANGI NIGHTS", but i am here to give you something much more than that.I do owe a big thanks to this movie for making this place notable on the world tourist map because when I was in school and when school reopened the usual session of " Whose Vacation was the best " would end up me being teased of going to a place that no one ever heard and rhymed with a Vegetable "Kumblanga".The Scene has changed and recently after maybe 4-5 years I have come back here and I posted a picture,and comments were pouring in enquiring about the location and everybody seems to know a lot .With Sand in your sandals , wind against your hair and the aura of different spices or just the smell of nature kind of gets in the mood for the incredible sights ahead. It's a Saturday evening Masked Men, Women, children go about their daily routine, some chatting by the side of the road, some on the way to church/temple etc , some coming back after a tiring day of work some actively promoting their party for the upcoming elections. Roadsides are full of posters , all day long we have announcements and music from these loud speakers, annoying for the teachers taking online classes and an entertainment for the students attending it. The Five rupee snack stalls are a charm and a cause for some drooling. Walk little ahead take a sneak peek into the Old church buildings, Temples and other buildings built ages ago and still manages to awe us with its style . I personally am a sucker for these traditional kerala style houses, the ones which have a vast front porch and have every variety of tree, fruit, vegetables, poultry and have the other family members built houses in the same compound. I had the privilege of visiting one, so beautiful, so pure, love how the redoxide flooring and the clay roof tiles("Thattu oddu") acts like a natural Air conditioner. The Doors with four segments and the warmth of the owners was the cherry on the cake. Keep walking or cycle to where the array of houses end . Here it comes, Feast for the eyes and soul. Oh! I was jumping with excitement, unending blue waters meets the Green land, a sight to behold in itself. Water on both sides and the drive through these things strips of road is refreshing. Click some amazing pictures. Have some amazing sea food and relax at the " Kallancherry Resort " . Take a detour explore the Aquatic Floating resort, try a hand at fishing. You can always rent a bicycle and jam to a spotify playlist as you take in the splendid view. Drive into the Kanamally Beach and Enjoy the sunset with waves at your feet.
