My take on the "It's my Biennale " Wall. Biennale - comes from the Italian word "Biennial" which means an event that happens every two years. The Kochi Muziris Biennale is an international and India's largest contemporary art of exhibition organised by the KMB foundation with the support of the government of Kerala. The exhibition is set across spaces in Kochi.2018 year's Biennale was curated by Miss Anita Dube. And the theme of that year's Biennale was "Possibilities for a non alienated ".The Biennale experience on the whole is something which cannot be confined to mere words it's a feeling more of an emotion. The concept of bringing together the people from different stratas of society to enjoy the modern art instillations is the highlight of this whole exhibition. What makes KMB different is that it makes the visitor involve in the art by not confining them to a mere spectator rather an enthusiast .I loved the crowd and vibe of the whole setting. The trick that wins the common crowds is the venues that they chose which in itself sets the standards even more high. For this year biennale my mains were my cousin brother and sister. We set the mood by dressing up to it. Got inspired by many instillations. My favourite one was "Messages from the Atlantic by Sue Williamson". It is an installation that recasts the bureaucratic records of the Atlantic Slave trade. Got myself a "it's my biennale" pin from the souvenir store. Got a quick late lunch from the qissa café and ten returned back home with a sore feet and an enlightened mind.

Cheers!!

Ms Alex
